We've had an eventful few days... well, an eventful week, I guess. We ended up spending Thursday night in the deluxe accomodations of Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Brody's bilirubin level got high enough that we needed to treat his jaundice, so he spent about 15 hours under lights, wearing some cute little goggles. Unfortunately, I didn't take my camera to the hospital. When I left the house to go to Vandy, up to my ears in post-partum hormones fueled by a lack of sleep, I was certain that I would not want any pictures of my baby in those circumstances. However, once we got there and got settled, I started to wish that we'd documented his time in the un-tanning bed :) The experience was as easy as it could have been, thanks to my work friends from the PICU. They pulled a few strings here and there to get us taken care of quickly. It helps to know people :) Below are a few pictures that I've taken over the past couple of days... Brax loves "holding" Brody and screams "baby, baby" over and over again....

A cute picture of little Brody. This is after his light therapy, so it doesn't show the full extent of his yellow-ness. He's still a little yellow- especially in his eyes.

Ben, Brax and Drew at Parade of Bible characters. What cute little firemen! We couldn't believe that they kept their hats on the whole time!

Here's Brax, clapping for the other participants. He had a great time!
Maybe now that we're done with daily doctor visits, we can attempt something that resembles a routine. I'll let you know how that goes :) I can already see why second children are generally more laid-back than firstborn children. They just have to be because life is crazier!! I'm sure that I'll take more pictures soon, so keep checking on us!

Wow Darci, he is sooooo cute! He looks so much like Brax! I'm sorry to hear that you had to go back to the hospital - i'm sure that makes your recovery and adustment more difficult. I am glad to hear that you are all doing well though, and will be checking reguarly for new pics! Kelley
