Home Alone!!
My mom left yesterday. It was tough goodbye for all of us, complete with Brax crying and yelling, "no Momo" as she drove down the driveway. So, today is our first day home alone. So far, so good. I'm feeding the little man and typing with one hand. Multitasking is the name of the game with two kiddos.
Here's a picture of Momo and the boys. It's not the best picture, with Brax not looking at the camera and Brody searching for a food source. But, it's the best we got. We were so thankful to have my mom here for a week and a half. In fact, she was supposed to leave earlier in the week, but I asked her to stay so that I could (finally) get some rest. With daily doctors visits and the extra hospital stay last week, I didn't even get a good nap until Saturday (when I fell asleep feeding Brody). Then I started having some trouble with my milk since Brody wasn't eating well while he was jaundiced. That was the beginning of my "feeding ritual," which took about one out of every three hours to complete. So, needless to say, I was a bit stressed. In addition, Brax has decided that waking at 5:15am to begin his day is perfectly acceptable. He's never been an early riser, so to say that this is a bit of an inopportune time is quite an understatement. However, despite Brax's rising before the sun, everything else seems to be falling into place now. And, I have a much better perspective on it since I got some rest. We're already missing Momo and are so grateful that she's been able to spend so much time with us lately. What a blessing it is to have a mom who still takes care of me, even though I'm grown! I'm not sure how often I'll be able to update, but keep on checking! Hope everyone is having a great week. We sure are with these two little blessings. We're tired but good. These days are so precious that I'm trying to enjoy them instead of watching them pass in a sleepy haze. Wish me luck!

Oh Darc~
I feel you on the early rising-Jake has been getting up around 4:50am since the time has changed-hang in there!!
Brax is so cute doing his home alone face! I want to bring you dinner in the next few weeks--I'll email you!
Hope you can get some rest!!
You will make it through...there will be times you won't believe it BUT YOU WILL. Please do not hesitate to call if you need to vent or a shoulder to cry on. I'll be calling to discuss the dinner I'm bringing and I want to pick Brax up from school that day for you.
Lean on your friends. That's why God gave them to you!
