I thought I would post a couple of us in our Buckeye gear. I know that everyone loves the pictures of the little guys, so I had to include a few in this update. We are so happy that Ohio State beat Michigan! It was a much better outcome than last week's game!

We've been keeping busy with all of our day-to-day activities. I must say that each day gets a little easier and I can't really remember what life was like with only one. Josh's mom has been staying with my sister-in-law (next door to us) while all of the guys are hunting in Illinois. It's been a great arrangement. I've been "on my own" with the boys and it's made me prioritize and arrange our schedule to make it work. However, that ever-helpful extra set of hands has been right next door when I need it. And, of course, Brax loves to play with his Mimi, which has freed me up to do things with Brody, keep the house semi-livable, and actually get a few loads of laundry done here and there. It's kind of like weaning me off of the after-baby assistance :) Josh will be home tomorrow night and we're all looking forward to seeing him. I know that he's been missing these boys! However, he might change his mind when he realizes that Brody isn't very good at the whole "sleeping at night" thing :) I dream about my morning coffee between each feeding/ belly hurting/ I'm awake to play cycle that occurs each night. Brax was a great sleeper from day one, so this is new territory for me. Brax and Brody both had check-ups at the doctor last Thursday. Below are their stats:

Brody: Wt. 6lb 12 oz (6%), Ht. 19 1/2 inches (8%), Head Circ 35.6 cm (18%). He had gotten down to 5lb 12 oz a week and a half before, so I guess he's getting enough nutrition!

Brax: Wt. 30lb 12 oz (72%), Ht. 35 3/4 inches (71%), Head Circ 49.9 cm (75%). So, he's settled into the big side of normal. It's been a steady climb since his 5lb start! I knew that he was getting taller because all of the jeans that he got for his birthday are already too short. It's amazing the things that Brax is learning! He has started saying phrases (which are mostly understood by just me :), naming his colors in relation to objects (ie "deres's a bue caa" means "there's a blue car), naming which objects belong to which person (ie, "dere's daddy's shoes"), learning new words daily, and generally being a very sweet and helpful little boy. He helps pick up his toys, puts things in the trash and is overly attentive to Brody. I think that preschool has helped to bring about so many positive changes in him. Life is so fun right now! I LOVE the baby phase... I think they're so sweet and they stay little for such a short time. I also LOVE the toddler phase (well, most of it anyway).... Brax keeps me laughing each and every day. We may be tired, but that's nothing that a cup of coffee and an occasional cat-nap can't fix! We can catch up on sleep in a few years. Keep praying for us and keep checking on us! I'll do my best to keep up with the posts. Oh, and a huge "thank you" to all of my wonderful friends who have been bringing us dinner every-other night for the past three weeks! You are all such a blessing to me. It has been a huge burden lifted to know that I don't have to worry about what we'll be eating at the end of a long day. It has truly been a pricless gift. Just know that you have been God's hands and feet to me over the past month... well, months if you count bedrest :) Okay, I'm off to get a few things done while Brody is sleeping and Brax is occupying himself, driving some "dactos" (tractors) and "wed caas" (red cars) around on the floor.

A late congratulations from me. I am still nowhere near a routine with my two boys, so I can't seem to find much time for blogging. Anyway, Brody is beautiful and I say "way to go" getting out and about with the little one already! It IS hard to imagine what it was like with just one!

I thought of you on this day. Last year I was sitting in your living room for this game. It was so great to see you!
