What have we been up to? Well, on Thursday while Brax was at school, Brody had some of his little buddies over for a "little boys playdate." Brax has started looking at pictures of himself as a baby and noticing that he's had the same friends since they were babies as well. When it comes to Brody, I already feel as if I have slacked in the areas of journaling, picture printing, etc, etc. So, when I realized that he hadn't ever had real, official playtime with his buddies, I added that to my guilt list. All of that to say that he does have a fun little group of friends, so we invited them over to play. Unfortunately, only four of the seven buddies could make it (which is what happens when you have older brothers and sisters with demanding social schedules), but I think they had a great time anyway. Below are Owen, Brody, Eli and Maverick (with Miss Jen holding the group together by bribing them with puffs.) They are some CUTE little guys, aren't they??

"What?!?! We aren't getting in any trouble!" I think that we may have to be very careful. It looks like Brody and his pals are going to be just as ornery as Brax and his friends.

In addition to our fun playdate with friends, we also had a fun playdate with Aunt Abby! She headed out on Friday night to spend the night with us, then go to the Touch a Truck show this morning. Abby and I shared some great girl time after the kiddos went to bed, then we all spent the morning stuffing our faces with Dunkin Donuts and climbing around in big trucks (and tractors, cars and boats... the name of the event was a bit misleading :) Below is a pic of Abby allowing Brax to "drive" her around in a speed boat.

She actually spent most of the morning pushing Brody around while I feverishly captured pictures of Brax in every vehicle imaginable. I had to post this pic because it shows her barely-there baby bump. It's getting a little bigger! They find out in a week whether it's a boy or a girl Irvine.

Brax thought that he was pretty cool, climbing in and out of big trucks and wearing this cool new visor that he got from the tractor guy. He looks like he's about five years old in this picture~!

The boys and me on the Franklin trolley (or train as Brax called it). Look at the cheesy face he's making!

Brody had limited participation, mostly just being pushed around in his stroller. However, he behaved very well and even allowed me to pose him for a few pictures...

And I'll leave you with a few pictures of Brax from his day of adventure....

Here he is on the firetruck....

And his favorites, the tractors....

Cheesy smiling while driving the HUGE tow truck (I think it was for towing semis or something!)

I don't think that he'll be following in his mother's footsteps and pursuing a career in the medical field. He's looking a bit nervous in the ambulance...

And still nervous in the old army medical car...

Whew... Happy again in the fast race car!

I took so many pictures that it was tough to decide which ones to post. It was a fun morning for all! Hope that everyone is enjoying the beautiful weekend!

That picture of Brody in the fireman's hat with crumbs all over his face made me laugh for a solid minute.
