Saturday morning we woke up late (7:30, thanks to Brax for allowing us to sleep in :), enjoyed some Dunkin' Donuts, then headed to Walden Farm to let Brax play in the Pumkin' Patch. I must admit that I have been anxiously awaiting this trip for the past several weeks. Fall has always been my favorite season... football games, hayrides and Halloween.... but the past couple of years have been even more fun as we've watched Brax begin to enjoy these activities. We took Brax to the pumpkin area first so that I could get some pictures before he got too tired (or dirty :) He loved the little pumpkins and spent a good portion of his time lining them up next to the mums.
He located one pumpkin in particular and would not leave it alone. We tried to get him to pick another pumpkin, but he kept going back to the slightly misshapen one with warts on one side. I guess he saw the inner beauty :) Here he is, pointing to the "punkeen" that was being used as the scarecrow's head. And, of course, holding his very own "punkeen" that he'd picked from the patch.

We saw many families that we knew and Brax got to play in the corn with Sydney and Abigail, his friends from church and preschool.

Here's a cute picture of my little pumpkin, posing so nicely for me!

Other than our trip out to Walden Farm, Brax enjoyed his first high school football game on Friday night. He jumped up and down and shouted "Go, Go, Go!" to the players on the field. He also perfected his arms-up touchdown pose. We spent today hanging out as a family and working around the house. There's no indication that Brody will be making his appearance any time soon. I'm still feeling pretty good and getting larger by the day. I guess since we forced him to stay in his little home, he's decided to hang out as long as possible :) The weather is supposed to be cold and rainy here this week, so it looks like we'll be spending a lot of time indoors. That doesn't usually go over too well with my little man, so say a prayer for my sanity! Hope that everyone has a great week!

Brax is so darn cute! Libby has been obsessed with pumpkins lately too! We haven't been able to make it to a pumpkin patch yet, but you have inspired us to go - those are the best pics! Sorry to hear that Brody is taking his time - that last few weeks can be torture, but it will soon be all worth it. Please post a pic of your new little man asap! Kelley

I keep checking your blog to see if you've had your new little baby boy! I guess he has now decided to be patient. I'll just keep checking.

Cute pictures! I'm sorry to take so long to answer your question, but we are moving to Shreveport. Toby is doing a fellowship. These blogs will probably keep me sane while I am so far away from home:)
