Brody's Nursery!
After attending the shower yesterday (see below post), I came home with the need to organize the gifts, wash the clothes, and finish the nursery. Thankfully, my great husband complied (although a bit begrudgingly since he had been working around the house ALL day long :) Above is the (almost) finished product. I am so excited with how it has turned out. I used Brax's old bedding, with the exception of some new bumpers which were sewn by my mom. This is Brax's old furniture with a new glider, some curtains that I already had at home and some beautiful canvases (the ones over the crib) painted by my great friend, Heather. (She's very talented, and will take orders if you want something for your kids' room!). The cute star canvases were painted by Sallie for Brax's nursery, so those were already on hand. So, I think I've made the most of what I had at home! With nesting + bedrest, I had to put it together without shopping :) The dresser/ changing table and bookshelf are off to the left of the picture. I still need to load the bookshelf with books and pictures, but I'll get around to that a little later. Anyway, I thought that I would share since I'm just sitting here on the couch watching the Today show. Hope everyone is having a good day!

Your nursery is adorable! We used the same colors for Solomon's nursery, but ours isn't as cute! We can't wait to meet Brody. Good luck!
I love the nursery. It's simple yet very creative. I had no idea Heather was so talented when it came to painting! She did a great job! Good luck with your last few days of bed rest...can't wait to see pics of your new little bundle soon!

I agree with everyone else. Super cute nursery. That Heather is talented with her canvases. :) And, you are talented for putting it all together like that. It looks so good!
Good luck and we can't wait for some pictures!
The nursery looks adorable!! Your shower looked like fun. Hope you are feeling well.
Darci, The nursery is just adorable. Simply perfect! I am so sad that I had to miss your shower. We were out of town Saturday and got back late Saturday night - and I was sick (and still am sick) with the virus Jack has had for two weeks now. We just can't seem to shake it!
I hope you are able to sit back and relax now and enjoy the home stretch!
