Six couples, four hours in the car, a cabin with a beautiful view, and NO kids (a big thanks to all of the grandparents who made it possible) made for a weekend filled with "laugh until you cry" moments and a lot of memories. God has blessed us with some amazing friends! We loaded up on Friday morning, piling six people and all of the obligatory luggage into our car, and headed to the Great Smoky Mountains for a little R&R with our good buddies. It was so much fun! I included some of the pictures of our trip. Brax stayed here with his MoMo and I don't think he missed us one bit! It looks like they had a great time here as well....

Tara was adament that we get an "Olde Timey" photo of the group. Some of the men (who will remain unnamed for their protection) grumbled quite a bit about having to endure this experience. However, the picture turned out so cute that I think they were glad that they particpated.

Here we are in the lodge at Ober Gatlinburg. We made the trek up the mountain in the hopes of getting an adrenaline rush from the Alpine Slide. After waiting for over an hour in anticpation for it to open, we finally realized that it was not going to happen. So sad!

This is the view off of the back deck of our cabin. It was gorgeous! The cabin had six bedrooms, two kitchens, two decks, a hot tub, fireplaces... the list goes on and on!
Here are the girls! Sallie, Tara, me, Heather, Laura and Christi
Heather and I posing from the back-backseat. We got more than a little carsick riding through the winding roads of the mountains.
Standing with Tara, watching men in jeans with mullets ski down the slopes while we waited for the Alpine Slide to open. Pitiful!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week. I'll take some pictures of Brax to post soon!

Looks like so much fun! I would kill for a trip like that with our friends and NO kids! What is the name of the place you stayed? I know there are hundreds of cabins but I want a view like that!!!
