Brax, Brody and Everleigh

Brax had a date yesterday. If you read this blog often, you know that Brax has several girlfriends. Most of them are older women, but not Libby. No, Libby holds a special place in Brax's heart because they were born just hours apart. In fact, I think they may have fallen in love in the womb while Kelley and I talked about how big our bellies were, how much weight we'd gained, or how long it had been since we attempted to wear our wedding rings :) When I went into labor six weeks early, I thought that Brax would be a month older than Libby. However, she didn't want Brax to be in this great big world without her, so she decided to make her grand debut four weeks earlier than planned. They were born just a few rooms apart, a few hours apart. Their little isolettes were just a few feet apart in the nursery. All of that to say that Libby is Brax's extra special girl. It had been a few months since we'd gotten together, so they had a little time of "getting to know you again" at the beginning of the date.
They spent the majority of their date hanging out in the pool. Aren't they cute in their hats? I'm glad that I brought Brax's ball cap because Kelley was going to make him wear Libby's hat. That may have messed him up for life :) Here they are trying to make a break for it. They kept trying to stand up on the side of the pool. I just thought that this one was a sweet shot. Brax was a little insecure about being in his swimsuit since he hasn't attained a "six pack" yet. Josh told him to just "be himself" and I think it worked :) They had a great time together and it looks like there might be another date. He did get her number when he left!
