Brax, Brody and Everleigh

We had a wonderful week, complete with a visit from my sweet friend Emily, and a trip to the lake. Brax had his nine month check-up and the following are his stats:
Wt- 20# 11oz (50th%)
Ht- 28 inches (36th%- yep, he got his Mama's height)
Head Circumference- I don't remember, but it's 71st% (yep, he got his Daddy's head :)
Here are a few pictures from the week.... Emily is one of my best friends from my college days. She and her GENIUS daughter, Kylie (I really have never seen a smarter 20 month old), stopped by to see Brax and me on their way to Florida. We had a great time catching up and watching our kids play together. I really miss her being in Nashville... we always have such good laughs!
As you can see, Brax and Kylie are close to the same size. Would you guess that Kylie is 11 months older than Brax? We joined Rob and Kristin, and headed down for some time on the lake with the Allens. Brax loved riding on the boats- even the ski boat! He spent a lot of time hanging out on the pontoon boat with Mr. and Mrs. Allen while Josh and I got to enjoy being "kids." I even went wake-boarding for the first time in two years (for which I am paying the price today :) Brax enjoyed the lake, but wasn't incredibly fond of swimming. I think the water may have been a bit cold for his liking. He tolerated it to amuse us, I guess.
After all of the fun in the sun, he and little Ella both passed out on Mrs. Allen's lap on the back deck. There's nothing like a summer weekend at the lake. Incredible food, lots of great friends and plenty of fun- I can't imagine a more wonderful place to be!
