At 12 months, Everleigh...
-Has six teeth, three on the bottom and three on the top
-Has given up the bottle (except before bed :)
-Can get from the floor to standing without pulling up and walks when she chooses. She has been taking 2-3 steps for about a month, yet the most we've seen her do is 10. She still prefers to crawl.
-Still adores her big brothers and gets just about anything she wants from them.
-Is saying 6 words, "Mama, Dada, ball, car, hi-there and JoJo (her cousin Joah)"
-Is obsessed with babies, especially baby Joah. She gets SO excited when he's around that I think he may be in danger.
-Hit a growth spurt... at her 12 month checkup, she was 29.25in (65-70%), weighed 20lb 5oz (35%) and had a head circumference of 18.4in (80%)
-Is very social and loving, reaching for people then planting a big kiss on their face.
Sweet Everleigh,
Your daddy and I are so blessed to have you as our little girl. You bring such a light to our family. You have a sweet little spirit and freely give your hugs to anyone. We love watching you interact with your brothers. The three of you have such a precious bond. You all light up when you play together and it makes me so happy to watch you become friends. I love watching the relationship that you have with your daddy. You adore him, getting overly excited and reaching up your hands when he comes in the door. I pray that you continue to grow that bond and that someday you will find a man just like him. I love that you are such a "tomboy." You proudly wear your bows and mother your babies, all while attacking your brothers for some rough and tough play on the couch. Your smile and laugh just light me up and I can't imagine my life without you in it. I can't believe that you are already one, learning new things each and every day, growing and progressing from a baby to a little girl. I pray that you will always know how much you are loved, by your daddy and me, by your big brothers, and by the amazing God who knit you together in my belly. He made you perfectly 'Everleigh,' and I love each and every little characteristic and quirk. You are a gift to us and we thank Him daily for adding you to our family.
We love you, baby girl!!
Mommy (and Daddy too :)
