April 2011

April was a fun and full month of firsts at our house.... Brax learned to tie his shoes by himself, Brody started to ride his bike without training wheels, Everleigh became proficient at standing alone for long periods of time, and Josh and I ran our first half marathon.... Here's the month in review...

Around the first of the month, Brody declared that it was time for his training wheels to be removed. I must admit that we were a bit skeptical, but we went ahead and took them off to apease him. It only took him about a day of practice and he had it! He's already moved up to a bigger bike and is practicing "cool tricks" :) Here are some pics from some of his first days riding...

Mid-April we celebrated Momo's _0th Birthday with pedicure a play with the girls, and a yummy dinner out for all. It was so nice to have her here for a few months and we were blessed to get to celebrate her big day with her!

Since the boys' school Easter parties were on the same day at the same time, I could not go to both. Momo volunteered to accompany Brody and I think they had a blast. She provided me with a few pictures of the day....

Brax and I headed over to Ellen's house for his party, where the mommies had planned a wonderful morning, complete with delicious food and an indoor egg hunt (thanks to the crummy weather :)

We celebrated Easter morning at church, then headed over to Mimi's for brunch with the Belvilles, followed by a fun egg hunt.

After Mimi's, we loaded up and went to Momo's for a second lunch and another egg hunt! We were certainly spoiled that day!!!

We finished out the month by running our first half marathon. It was so much fun!!! Jared and Abby also ran the half and my sister in law, Kristin, ran the full marathon! It was a beautiful morning and was worth every bit of the training!

The rest of April was filled with the ususal... school, work, soccer games, gymnastics, the list goes on. Our house is coming along great and we're hoping to be in by the end of June or beginning of July. We're enjoying our kids so much and life is filled with fun moments! We are so blessed!!
