I know that I haven't updated the blog in forever. Truthfully, we've been in a very nice pattern of un-busyness (if that's a word :) It's been a little lull after the craziness of the holidays. We've spent several days in our pj's, playing games, watching movies, and just avoiding the cold temperatures outside. I only have a few pictures from the past few weeks. We had some good friends and their kiddos over to ring in the new year. We had a great time eating, playing, and listening to Brian and TJ play the guitar. Below are the girls... Holly, Laura, Trish, Christi, me and Heather. Heather made me laugh at the last second and I look a little ridiculous!

Most of the kids actually made it 'til midnight. Lincoln somehow escaped this picture, but he was awake too. As you can see, Jay, Brax and Parker were not too interested in the activities on Times Square. I don't think that they quite "got it."
In addition, we celebrated my dear friend Heather's 30th birthday with a "surprise" party with all of her closest friends. My wonderful brother, "Runcle Ty" to the boys, helped us out of a last-minute pinch and spent the evening with the boys. Brax had so much fun that he asks me almost every day when Runcle can babysit again. Once again, a terrible picture of me, but it was cute of the birthday girl, so I had to include it...
Jeeen (that's Jen in southern talk) and me at the b-day bash....

Josh's grandpa, Poppy, was traveling through town on his way to Chattanooga. He got to stop and spend a few hours visiting with us and the boys really enjoyed their time with him. We just don't get to see all of the great-grandparents often enough!

And that's all I have!! I haven't taken any pictures lately. It's terrible. We've spent this week helping Rob and Kristin get moved into their new house. It's so bittersweet. We know that it is an answered prayer for them, but it sure is sad for us :( It's still a little bit surreal that they aren't right next door. We have a little more activity in the coming weeks, so hopefully I will have more pictures to post. However, it has been very nice to be able to take it easy over the last couple of weeks. We all needed some days to just relax and enjoy one another. Hope that you and yours are having a wonderful 2009. More to come soon!
