Whew! I've been trying to post about our Christmas for the past two days. But, between working, unpacking and preparing for a New Year's shindig, I just now got around to it! We started our weeklong festivities on the Saturday before Christmas. First we hit up Mimi and Papa's house....

We had fun just playing around the house and enjoying some of the fun things that they had planned for us. Below is Brody playing on the cornhold boards (which he thought were slides) that Josh and Rob made for Dave for Christmas.

Papa had a huge train set up, complete with tunnels and other props. The boys had their conductor hats and train whistles on hand in order to make the experience complete.

Papa treated us all to a Disney on Ice show. Josh's grandparents, Mamaw and Papaw were able to come with us to share in the fun. They bought Brax some cotton candy which came with the very Cool Lightning McQueen hat that you see being modeled below. The boys both really liked the show and were mesmerized by the lights. They got a little fussy toward the end, but it was a very neat experience overall!
Mimi and the boys made some cupcakes to celebrate Baby Jesus' birthday. They loved it and completed the the culinary treat with a lovely rendition of Happy Birthday. I had to laugh at this picture when I noticed that Brax was licking all of the icing off of the cupcakes.

Brody enjoying some "Baby Jesus Birthday Cake."

Santa came to Mimi's house a little early and the boys were spoiled rotten!

After a few days at Mimi and Papa's house, we headed to Momo and Grandpa's house for some more spoiling! It's always so nice being at my Mama's house where I don't have to cook or clean or really even take care of my kids that much :) We had lots of great food, enjoyed the Christmas festivities, and even got to take a ride through a "drive of lights!"

On Christmas Eve we attended a evening church service and then headed home to get ready for Santa. Here is a picture of the boys putting out some food for the reindeer.

Then Momo read them The Night Before Christmas

Then, they picked out some cookies to leave out for the Jolly Old Elf. Of course, Brax had to take a little bite just to make sure that it was good!

And don't you know that when we woke up the next morning, Santa had been to Momo's house! Brax even got that "Big Motorcycle" that he asked for. Not to mention the Little Leapster and kids' camera from Momo-Claus!
And here's Brody, riding his new bulldozer while showing Uncle Ty his new shoe!

And a pic of the whole DeLong-Belville-Irvine clan...

My sister made me the most amazing gift! She took excerpts and pictures from the blog to create a scrapbook of Brody's first year of life. This is something that I would never have time to do myself. My friend Trish did a similar one of Brax's first year. I absolutely treasure them! It was such a thoughtful thing for Abby to do while she's so busy getting ready for her own little one!
After a wonderful Christmas brunch, we headed to eastern Ohio to see my parents' families. We got to see all of my dad's family, however I didn't manage to capture one single picture from that part of the day. We also got to see my mom's parents. Here are the boys with GG and G-pa. I think that Brax and Brody look more alike than usual in the below picture. We had a such a great time with both sides of the family and the boys were little troopers considering that they didn't get naps.
Josh surprised me with a new lens for my camera. I captured this shot of Brax riding the jeep in my parents' yard. Somehow, despite the cold, rainy weather, he talked Grandpa into getting the jeep out and supervising a lot of ride-time. Granparents can be convinced to do just about anything.
We also got to make a quick stop to play with Jack. Kristy and I chatted over coffee for a couple of hours while the boys played with every toy that you could imagine. I love how they only see each other a few times a year, but are buddies just the same.

So, that about sums it up. I'm too tired to think about what to write. We had an amazing time visiting with both families. We are blessed beyond measure that we have so many people who love our boys so much. I will post more later. But for now, I'm just glad that I finally got this post done :) Hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas!
