I love this picture of the boys on the porch swing with G-pa. We kids spent many summers sitting on the porch swing, counting cars and being silly. Our days at Grandma and Grandpas house are some of my best memories from my childhood.
Momo, G-pa, Brody and Runkle Ty, sitting outside and enjoying the BEAUTIFUL day that we had.
Abby, Grandma, Ty, Grandpa and me at the party. Unfortunately my cousins didn't get to make the trip due to work, but these were the grandchildren that were blessed enough to be in attendance at the celebration.
I'm pretty sure that GG gave Brody a whole piece of "wedding cake." He's got a sweet tooth just like the rest of us and I don't think that she could resist him.
My other grandmother joined in the fesitivities to say her congratulations, which meant that we got to spend a little time with her as well. She was making Brax laugh by singing him some songs from 40's.
These pictures are so sweet. My grandpa loves to fish and spend time outdoors. There is a river directly across from their house that we used to fish in when we were little. Brax asked if he could go "down the hill to fish" and Grandpa was more than happy to oblige.
Here they are standing in front of the river.
Brax got soaked! He stood in the water, collecting rocks and throwing them as hard as he could so that he could make "big splashes!"
It was so much fun to watch my kids with my grandparents, enjoying the same things that we did when we were kids, from the porch swing to the river, to eating grandma's famous sugar cookies. My grandparents have been such a huge part of my life and it means so much to me that my kids are growing in their relationships with them as well.
Below is the only picture that I snapped of my parents with the kiddos. It's not too bad of my parents and not too great of the boys. Oh well, we were in a hurry on our way to church yesterday morning...

We had such a great time celebrating with everyone. The trip was very quick and the boys did as well as I could have asked. They were great in the car, neither of them having even one meltdown during all of the driving that was required. They were happy to grab their naps in the car whenever that was possible and were generally very pleasant and well-behaved. I'm very glad that they were so flexible! I know that they enjoyed seeing Momo, Grandpa (Brax has suddenly changed my dad's name from Papa to Grandpa), GG, G-pa, and GG Marie! Hope that everyone has a blessed week!
