Addendum to 3rd Birthday Festivities ...... For Brax's birthday this year, his big gift (as well as Brody's) was a big playset for the backyard. It took Josh many, many man hours to assemble it (It came in three small boxes. Enough said. Even the slide had to be assembled!!)
Several family members contributed to the "playhouse fund" in lieu of other birthday gifts, and I don't think that Brax could be any happier. He calls it his "brown house" and wants to play in it all of the time. When he woke up on Sunday from his (very long) nap, he went outside to see it all assembled. "Daddy, it's so cool!!" he yelled. I think that made all of Josh's time worth the effort.
So Brax wants to say a big "thank you" to all of the family that donated to his fun. And, as you can see below, Bro is already itching to get in on the action!

Brax also received a Radio Flyer scooter from Momo and Papa. He's been riding it full-speed around the loop in our house, purposely crashing at the end of each lap. The boys convinced Momo that it would be even more fun if she pushed them (FAST) around the loop while they stood and held on for dear life. Adrenaline junkies. I wonder where they get it :)

I think that Bro may like the scooter even more than Brax. He thinks it's a modified walker of sorts. Just look at that intense concentration! Brax does not appear too thrilled to be sharing his new birthday toy with his little brother. We're working on that.

Last, but not least, I had to post a few more pictures from the Pirate Party. These were taken on a friend's camera and she captured some priceless moments. Hope that everyone enjoys! We're all doing quite well around here and enjoying a little down time! Have a blessed week!

Note: the below picture appears as if Brax is trying to harm his unarmed buddy by attacking him with two swords. However, I believe that he's actually handing one to Drew so that they can commence their battle. Let's hope that's the case, anyway!

That is the coolest playset I've ever seen! Looks like Brax had a great birthday! I can't wait for you guys to come meet Cole! We will be home for the next few days so come on over when you are free! Thanks for your text the other day...it's so nice to know that I have great friends to come to. It's such a blessing to raise these boys together. I can't wait for them to play when they get a little older!

Owen wants to come play. :) That's a cool present. And that picture of Bro on the scooter is one of my favorites of him...that look is absolutely priceless.

Happy Birthday to your precious boy! He really is just so cute. I love his little pirate shirt, and the cupcakes are adorable. Thank the Lord for the node healing up without surgery, as well as for great friends that pray and help us out in times of need! I am glad it all worked out. Oh - I love the playset, too. My husband spent many hours putting one together for our kids last year, but it is worth it! They just love it!
