My "Baby" Went to Preschool

Today was Brax's first "unofficial" day of preschool. We got to go meet his teacher, Miss Eva, and her helper, Miss Julie. The parents also got to meet with the director and fill out a lot of paperwork :) Brax cried when I dropped him off at the door (and actually sat on the floor until Miss Julie picked him up), but I got good reports when I returned from my portion of the meeting. It's hard to capture a picture of Brax being still, but I snapped this one before we left the house....
And also, this (not so good one of either of us, I'm afraid) in Brax's new Preschool Classroom....
As many of you know, I have been very nervous about his readiness to go to preschool. He's still such a baby to me! However, so many of you have given me overwhelming encouragement about this preschool and, after today, I understand why! I believe that these ladies are truly committed to showing God's love to each and every child, each and every day. Their kindness was evident and their true understanding of the mind of a two-year-old put me at ease. So, I'm looking forward to seeing how Brax will blossom in this new environment. I think it was a bit of a stressful day to him, I must say. Maybe I talked it up too much :) He fell asleep on the way home at 10:45!!! He just woke up after 3 hrs and 15 minutes of uninterrupted sleep, so I'm off to make him a late lunch and enjoy a little playtime!

Thanks for the encouragement, Darci! By the way, you look fantastic - especially for pregnancy #2!! I'm completely jealous! :) Brax's room is really neat too. I don't have too much time to catch up on other people's blogs right now, so forgive me if you've already said this - do you have a name for baby #2?? And what preschool is Brax going to? We are signed up for C.Hall C of C Mother's Day Out starting in January. Wondering if that's where BRaxz is going...

Yay! I was so excited for you this morning. Brax is going to love Miss Eva and Miss Julie. Wow. What can you say about two such kind, loving and godly women?

And this will be such a treat for you, too. I mean it when I say that Julie became something of a spiritual and mommy mentor for me.

Your baby is going to flourish this year...if he's anything at all like Jack (which I get the feeling he is), you won't be able to believe it by the end of the year!

Congratulations on such a special milestone!

I can't believe my baby nephew is starting school. Did he get a hair cut? Make sure you get those videos of the first day of school...keep the Molly legacy alive :)

I CANNOT believe baby Brax is going to pre-school! I feel like we were just at the hospital welcoming him! But I assure you I think you did the right thing...he's so ready! And he will LOVE Miss Eva and Miss Julie. Those were Hudson's teachers last year and Hudson couldn't get enough of them! Also, Miss Eva was Emma's teacher and Emma still talks about her...and she's starting FIRST GRADE!! Love you much! TAKE AND POST MANY PICTURES OF THE FIRST DAY!!!
