Beach Trip... Post One
All of the bags are unpacked and the laundry has been started. It's a sad reminder that our fun weekend in Florida has officially ended. On Thursday, we headed to the beach with three couples, five kids (age two and under), and two babysitters. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had. Not to say that it wasn't chaotic, or a bit stressful at times, but it was well worth it. Brax enjoyed the sand and the water more than I thought that he would. Having a child on vacation makes it so much fun! As you can see from the picture below, Brax enjoyed rolling in the sand. 
One of his favorite activities was to stand below this little sand ridge, grab hand-fuls of sand and throw it into the water. With each throw he would yell, "YEAH!"
Here's a picture of Josh and Michael showing the kids how to build a sandcastle. As you can imagine, the "castle" was demolished before it was ever begun.
Yeah, snacks! I think that Brax was eating cheetos here and pointing to a plane flying overhead.
After Brax got used to the water, he would laugh and say "Whoa" or "Wee" every time a wave would splash around his legs. It was so cute. We spent a good amount of time just walking up and down the beach. 
Our house was great because the pool was right in the backyard. After being at the beach all day, we would cool off (and rinse off) in the pool, relaxing a little while the kids napped. I think that this picture was from the first day that we were there. Contrary to Brax's smiling face, he didn't love the "jet rider" for very long.
As you can see, it was very difficult to get a picture of all of the kiddos. Here they are by the back deck, after they had all been running around the yard in their diapers. In addition to the great location of the pool, our house had a huge side yard and back yard for the kids to use as a playground. It was perfect. Brax had the best time on vacation because he was completely in his element. He got to run around outside all day long.
