There's No Place Like Home....

...whether that be the house where you grew up, or just the emotion of being with family. We just returned from a six-day tour of Ohio, spending time with parents, grandparents, extended family, and great friends. We started off at Grandma Momo and Grandpa Duke's house, went to a SURPRISE party for my grandpa in Newcomerstown, then headed to Chagrin Falls to visit with Grammy and Grandpa Belville. I took so many pictures that I couldn't decide which ones to post. I picked a few highlights for this post, but I may add more later.
Brax on a dolphin swing at the playground by Grammy and Grampy's house..

Brax with Jack Low, my best friend, Kristy's, little boy. Brax is showing off his "patty-cake" skills in this picture... He has recently started to clap at everything.

Brax and MoMo, hanging out on the front porch and doing some swingin'

Brax and Grandpa Duke, watching TV and getting ready for bed.

Brax with my grandparents at Grandpa's surprise party. He had absolutly no idea that we were all there to wish him a happy 85th birthday. It was the first time in many years that all of my cousins, Uncle, Great Aunts and Uncles and more had all been in the same place at the same time. We had so much fun!

Brax sporting a t-shirt with Josh's grandpa Poppie's alma mater- VMI.

Brax with Grammy and Grampy at the falls in Chagrin, stopping for a photo opp on the way to dinner.

So, today we're home and Brax is battling a nasty cold. It started Monday night, and has gotten progressively worse since then. Poor little guy can barely breathe from his runny nose and he has a serious cough to add to it. In addition, it looks like FOUR teeth may be trying to pop through on the top. They've been bothering him for over a week! He's been a cranky little man, but I must say that I would be complaing much more than he is if I were in his situation. As I mentioned before, clapping is his new favorite trick (which looks much cuter than the tongue phase he went through a few weeks ago :) If we stand him up, he can hold onto a chair or a table for a few minutes before he loses his balance. He still, however, flatly refuses to crawl. I'm starting to think that he may be one of those children that goes straight to walking. Well, I must end this post and get back to laundry, cleaning, and holding my snotty-nosed little man. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
