On another subject, I had heard that the "bumbo" seat made a great transitional item from the infant bathtub to the big boy bathtub. Being that Brody is quite large for 3 months, he has almost outgrown his infant bath and I thought that we would try the "bumbo" theory. As you can see, it was not a success. Brax insisted on pouring water over him, waterfall style, while shouting "I hel-ping, Mommy! Baby bath tub! Splash! Splash!" Maybe we'll try it without big brother next time.
Look at this sweet baby. He is huge!!! I weighed him last week and he was 14 1/2 pounds! What in the world??? Josh and I tried to measure his length last night and our best estimate was 24 inches. He is comfortably wearing clothes now, at 3 1/2 months, that Brax wore at 5 months. And Brax wasn't tiny!! He's such a good baby these days and generally sleeps anywhere from 7 to 8 1/2 hour stretches at night. I feel like he's grown up so fast already! Keep checking on us!

This was the view from our back window this morning. Unfortunately, that's as close as we're going to get to enjoying the white powdery stuff. Brax has been under the weather for the past three days, suffering from a fever, cough and occasional wheezing. I've been administering an alternating cocktail of motrin and tylenol with a little albuterol on top to ease his symptoms.
Below represents how he's spent the last couple of days- cooped up in the house, absorbing cartoons at an alarming rate from the comfort of his own little "bed" on the living room floor. I guess if you can't avoid the "plague," then settle in for some much-needed cuddle time and a few books and movies, right? We will be heading to the doctor this afternoon due to the continued wheezing despite the albuterol. I just want to make sure that he doesn't need any additional medicine....

CUTE pics! I've now entered the blog world myself so I've been going around and spying on old friends! haha! Hope all is well!
Oh, darci! he's so precious! I can't believe he's so big! His little buddy, Sam is right behind him...he weighed in at 12lbs 7 oz today and 24 inches long! insane! give both your sweet boys kisses from their aunt sassy. Sorry Brax has been puny...no fun, little buddy! love you guys! CUTE pics!!
They are both too stinkin' cute! Maybe Brody can give Owen some tips on eating and sleeping - we're still working on figuring those out. We miss you guys & are ready for everyone to be healthy so we can get together again soon.
Darci-
We missed you yesterday at BS. So sorry you guys are sick! And.....Daniel told me Josh is out of town.......hang in there, girl.
YOu always seem to have such a great attitude, though.. I'm sure you do now.
The boys are precious......big brother Brax is a good helper!:))
I love the bath picture! Hilarious! I did the bumbo in the bath, but you have to be careful because it absorbs all that water and then you think it is dry, but then you sit them in it to feed them etc, water leaks out of it! I REALLY liked it for the tub though...maybe you need 2!
LOVE the pictures of your two little guys! I hope Brax is better and will be at school tomorrow for our Valentine's party. I missed him on Tuesday!
Give him a HUG from "Jewie!"
Sweet Brax! We had it last week -- the cough is a bear to get over. Hope he's feeling better. His was the first card that Emmy made yesterday!
PS -- I thought about you guys yesterday when it was snowing. Made me think of last year's frolic at Wyndchase.
That bath time picture of hilarious! Brax seems like a riot! Happy V-Day!!
That is the cutest picture of them in the bathtub - hilarious. I laughed out loud. I love chubby babies!! I hope Brax feels better soon. It seems like everyone has sick kids right now!!
I loved the bathtub picture. I'm sure that will show up in a slidshow or scrapbook someday. Too funny!
