And so, here we are again, back home after another whirlwind trip! We had a great time in the mountains of East Tennessee, enjoying Watauga Lake with family and celebrating Josh's mom's 50th Birthday!
Here is Brax, enjoying some of Grammy's birthday cake.....
Brax loved this huge tube! The water would fill up in the net at the bottom and he could splash around like he was in a little kiddie pool.
Here's a picture of Josh's immediate family outside the house where we stayed. The view from the side was breathtaking. Unfortunately, we're blocking the view in this picture.
Here's a picture of the whole gang (minus the picture-taker, and one other :) I guess that no one knew that the picture was being taken because hardly anyone is smiling. Really... it's a very fun bunch and we have lots of laughs :)
Unfortunately, blogger is being very slow this morning, so I can't wait for it to load anymore of our pictures. Despite a little uncooperative weather, we had a great time with the whole Nyman brood. Brax loved the "big kids," and played with them until he crashed every night. They were so great with him, it was adorable to watch. I think that Laurie enjoyed having all of her family in one place to celebrate her half-century mark :) She was smiling from ear to ear the whole weekend. In other news, our house is getting very close to completion!! Below is the latest picture of the outside. Of course, we still need real doors and the columns need to be painted, but the end is in sight. On the indoor front.... the floors, some painting, and little things like lights and mirrors are all that stand between us and our new home. Josh's company has done a fabulous job and I am so pleased with how it has turned out. We should be in in tw0-three weeks, so packing and unpacking appear to be in my future.
And last, but certainly not least, I wanted to wish a belated Happy Father's Day to my dad, my hubby, my grandpa, my father-in-law, and all of the other wonderful dads out there. I grew up with the incredible influence of my dad in my life and it has helped to shape me into the woman that I am today. I thank God for my dad's love and guidance! I have been honored to watch my incredible husband grow into an amazing father. I love watching Brax run to the door when Josh gets home and yell "DaDa" as he reaches his arms up to give him a hug. They are such great buddies! I hope that everyone has had a wonderful week, and keep checking in on us!
