I got back late, late Thursday night from my girls' trip to Colorado. We had such a great time, laughing until we ached (or maybe that was from skiing), and making great memories. I went with Emily and Catrina, my good friends from my working days, to visit our other good buddy, Jilayne, who has lived in Denver for the past year. We skiied, we shopped, we saw the sights, we ate A LOT, we helped Jilayne find a wedding dress, and we generally just enjoyed one another's company. They are such a fun (and funny) group of friends and I love spending time with them. However, the jam-packed itenerary left us exhausted, and by the time our turbulance-filled flight landed in Nashville at 12:10am, we were okay with being back in Music City. I had to post a couple of pictures from my trip. The mountains are one of God's most beautiful creations. The pictures do not do any justice!!! Below is a picture of Jilayne, Emily, me and Catrina at the top of the mountain. I'm not sure if I mentioned that it was the first time that Catrina had ever skiied and it was my second time (my first being almost ten years ago with Josh as my only ski school :) So, I think we did great for our first time. Thanks to Jim, our favorite ski school instructor. Unfortunately (or thankfully, maybe :) all of the pictures of me actually skiing were on others' cameras. I may or may not choose to post those at a later date!
We stopped a few places on our way back to Denver to capture some of the "wildlife" :) We didn't see much wildlife, but we did see some beautiful scenery. Below is Catrina and me standing on the side of the road..Last, but not least, I had to post a picture of the girls at Trivia Night back in Denver. I must say that we did great, even if we did cheat. However, we were only there for one round, so we didn't win :(

Back at the homestead, I got good reports on Brax. Of course, I don't think that Grammy would have told me if he had behaved otherwise :) She took many pictures from their adventures, so I thought that I would post a few. It looks like she took him to the mall one day when it was raining so that he could play on the indoor playground and ride some of the toys....

Playing outside is one of Brax's favorite things to do. Most of their time was spent outdoors from the look of the pictures! Brax has so much energy that this apartment feels like a cage to him, I guess. Here he is pulling along his little wagon...
I think they went to the pet store another day... I thought that this picture of him looking at the fish was so cute. Thankfully Grammy just bought him a plastic one instead of a real one!
And last, but certainly not least, below is the beginnings of our new home!! Yippee!!! They poured the foundation while I was out of town.... We're on our way to having a house again!
Hope that everyone has had a wonderful, blessed week!

What a fun trip Darci!! I wish I had the guts to leave Sophie behind for a few days but I'm just not there yet. I know it would be a healthy break...maybe one day soon. Congrats on the foundation. I know you can't wait for your house to be done!!
