Yippee! I changed my blog to beta blogger (I have no idea what that means, but it makes me sound smart, right?) and now my pictures are actually showing up when I write my blogs and I can change the font and the color of my writing. Yeah! I messed up my blog a few months ago when I tried to post a video, and since then my pictures have been showing up in computer language. Anyway, enough of that. My mom emailed me some pictures from her visit. I picked a few to share with you.

It was a little cold over the weekend. Brax had to bundle up in his hat and winter coat. Dad thought he looked like Ralphie from A Christmas Story.

Brax is always so helpful with the laundry. He's very good about helping me sort it. He also enjoys helping me unfold it... Which is not something that is normally part of the laundry process, I know. However, he's added that step to make my chores last a little longer.

Books, books and more books. Brax loves to read right now. He will sit down with a book and tell you a whole story. He even throws in some laughs like he's said something funny. Very cute.

Here is Brax rock-climbing (with a little help) at Climb Nashville. A sweet couple from our church, Lance an Carrie, opened up their climbing gym last Sunday for a very fun fellowship event. I wish that Josh could have been there to see Brax "climb." Josh and I loved rock climbing and camping with some great friends during our college days. We haven't done it for years and I would love to get back into doing it!

It was 80 degrees here on Friday, so we took a little trip to the park to enjoy the weather.

Mom, Brax, and a balloon from the Red Robin.

We went to a Christmas craft show on Saturday. Thankfully Dad found something boyish for Brax to enjoy. He wasn't too fond of the rest of the craft show experience- not even sitting on Santa's lap.
In other Brax "update" news, he has started saying a few new words this week. He loves Reese (our dog) and will go to the door and yell "eese, eese!" He also tells her to sit, but I won't write out how he says it, since it sounds a little like profanity :) When he learns a new word, it's like he forgets all of the other words he knows and only says the "word of the week." I guess he'll start putting them all to use soon! He has also completed his teething! He has a total of 16- so no more teeth until two year molars! Whew, am I glad that's over. Brax is getting very good at his motor skills. He likes to take the tops off of boxes, and then put them back on. He's very in to opening and closing things. He rarely walks, as he prefers to run everywhere that he goes. In addition, he finally learned how to come down the stairs. I had no idea that he knew how, but Josh's parents saw him do it the other day. Sure enough, he comes right down if you help him get started at the top. Of course, dancing remains his favorite activity. Ill try to catch a good video and post it soon. Hope you enjoy the pictures from last week. Josh's parents have also been here, so I'm sure that his mom will email me some more to post soon. Thanks for checking on us!

HI Darci - Thanks for visiting our blog. I don't know if I've ever commented on your blog or not, but I have been meaning too. I visit it every once in a while, and I think just about everyone in my family has seen the video of Brax dancing that you posted several weeks ago - too funny!! Glad you are doing well. Brax is a cutie!!
