Turkey Day

Whew! We had a busy, but fun-filled, week of Thanksgiving. I posted as many pictures as I could manage... We started off our celebration at Grammy and Grampa Belville's house in Cleveland. We had such a fun time celebrating with Josh's "Belville" side of the family- many of whom had never met Brax. The only thing that made the Thansgiving a bit of a bummer was that Josh's grandmother had a bug and couldn't make the trip to be with us. It just wasn't the same without Mamaw and Papaw! Brax loved Grammy's Christmas tree, and Grampa had an awesome train set up for him. I thought that I got a picture of it, but cannot find the picture anywhere. (Laurie, I know you have one, so email it to me :) Because of that train set, he now says the word "Choo Choo."

Here are some pictures of Brax with more "extended family." The picture to the left is all of Mamaw and Papaw's great-grandchildren. They're all so cute! Brax was spoiled by everyone!

Next, we went to my parents' house so that Mom and I could experience Black Friday together. We love to shop and haven't gotten to do Day After Thanksgiving shopping for the last several years. We had a blast. Brax also got to help Grandpa D put up the Christmas tree. I'm pretty sure that he just made it more difficult, but Grandpa appreciated the effort.

The weather in Ohio was beautiful! Brax got to spend time outside playing with the horses and running in the woods. My grandparents even stayed an extra day so that they could play with Brax for a little while.

Of course, while we were in Ohio, we had to spend time with Kristy and Jack... We love them so much!! We loaded the boys up in the wagon and pulled them around the Columbus Zoo. They loved the lights, but didn't love staying in the wagon :) Brax's favorite thing was the Merry Go Round. He loved it!! It's amazing how much his likes and dislikes have changed since the summer.

Brax did so well throughout the whole trip. Despite an ear infection that was diagnosed a few days before we left, and constant sleep deprivation, he was generally happy and accomodating. I'm glad that our families got to see his "good" side :) We're finally back in Nashville and getting ready for the busy holiday season. Hopefully we'll get our Christmas tree up in the next few days. Holiday decorating is one of my favorite things to do! After all, I do have "Clark Griswold" for a father, what do you expect? :) Hope everyone had a great Thankgiving! Enjoy the spirit of the Holidays!

It's so funny b/c we played outside & went to the zoo also during Thanksgiving!! Brax looks like he's losing some "baby" fat & looking more like a lil' toddler!! I think he's changed quite a bit in the last month or so!! It's crazy how that happens in the blink of an eye. I'm glad you guys had a safe & fun trip...hope to see you soon!
