The Post Between Easter and Baby

I had to include this short and sweet post in order to get 'caught up.' I am anxious to blog about Everleigh, but I must include what happened in the weeks leading up to her birth so that my 'online scrapbook' is complete. At the end of April, we had a visit from Mama and Papa. They got to come visit all of the great-grandkids and even got to watch Brax play soccer! We always love a visit from Mama and Papa!

April also included a shower for Everleigh, hosted by my fellow Bible study leaders, Laura, Pat, Anna, Kelly and Laurie. Laurie opened her beautiful home to celebrate sweet Everleigh and the six of us had such a wonderful evening. These women have come to mean so much to me over the last year and I cherish their friendship. Although many would say that we're a 'weird' group of friends, we know that God placed us together for a reason. They prepared such a sweet night, reading scripture over Everleigh and blessing her life. I will always cherish the memories of that shower.

In addition, my wonderful friends and coworkers from WMC hosted a baby shower to celebrate Everleigh and spoil her with many wonderful, pink gifts. They were all so sweet and so excited for me to welcome my first daughter. I was overwhelmed by their kindness and thoughtfulness. I could not work with a better group of women. It was also a special night that I will always remember.

And last, but certainly not least, Brax's class had a Mother's Day picnic at their teacher's home to celebrate all of us moms. Mrs. Fisher prepared a wonderful lunch and was so sweet and kind to open her home to all of us. The kids helped make lunch and presented us with a handmade book and a handprint. It was so special to get to spend some one-on-one time with Brax on the day before we welcomed his baby sister into the world.

So that's a quick recap of the weeks leading up to Everleigh. Stay tuned for the 'Baby Story.' I promise I'll get it posted soon!
