The boys thought that our own fireworks were a bit on the loud side, but did warm up to the sound once the large neighborhood display began.
The kids loved the sparklers and ran around in wreckless abandon, nearly catching one another on fire on more than once occasion.
This is Bro with Josh's cousin, Aaron. They call him Uncle Aaron or "Booty" depending upon their mood. The boys LOVE him!!!
And last, but not least, I couldn't leave out this wonderful pic of Brody that I snapped after he got out of the pool. Naked as a jaybird, asking to ride the 4-wheeler...

July also brought lots of visits with Aunt Abby and Cousin Trevi. One such visit was a trip to the Nashville Zoo. The boys love looking at the animals and playing on the huge playground. The dirty goats are always a huge hit, much to my dismay....

Could my sweet little niece be any cuter? Seriously!

Of course July brought many trips out to the farm, which included much playtime in the creek!

Sometime in the spring, Brax asked Josh to take the training wheels off of his bike. It took Brax a few months to get up the courage to really try to ride on his own, but he was spurred on by our (older) next door neighbor who has been riding sans training wheels for about six months. So, once he put his mind to it, Brax mastered the art of training-wheeless riding. It only took him one day. And he's already worn a hole in his tire from riding so much!
In other events, we took a trip to the Allens' lakehouse for some good food and good company. The Allens are always such gracious hosts! While we were there, Brax experienced another first- his first broken bone (see below pics for his boot :) He jumped off of the top bunk of the bunkbeds, probably in an attempt to impress the pretty girl you see below, Miss Ella~!

Mrs. Allen and Bro on the boat!
And Brax finally got the courage to swim in the lake. My otherwise fearless child is still so afraid of the water.

Of course, his crazy brother was jumping off of the dock, even when there was no one there to catch him. We've got to watch him like a hawk!

We left the lake on Saturday night, made a brief stop in the Vandy Peds ED on Sunday morning (for aforementioned broken foot), then grabbed Abby and Trevi and headed to Ohio to spend some time with Momo and Grandpa and all of the great-grands. Here are the boys and Trev with GG Marie... Brody is sulking because we wouldn't let him hold Trevi in the picture.

Here are the boys, throwing rocks into G-pa's river. They love walking down to the river and could spend countless hours there if we let them. (Notice lovely boot...)

This is the best pic that we got of GG and G-pa with the kids. Try as we might, we never can seem to get it!
Of course the boys rode Momo and Granpa's jeep until the battery went dead each and every day!

I love how "all boy" your boys are. They are so cute. We need some back to school pictures, now!
