Well, we survived our first week "on our own." Brax and I got into a little routine and I have loved every moment of being home with him. Being a mommy is the best job I've ever had! It's so wonderful to get up every day and just spend time with him. He's becoming much more alert and is awake for longer periods of time. Of course, this means that he's developing a little personality and asserting himself a little more :). However, his cries are usually limited to things that can be fixed. Brax got his first "tub" bath today and was less than thrilled with the whole experience. We finally got him calmed down by pouring warm water over him while he was in the tub. Of course, this made him pee all over himself, so we were back to square one :) We've been venturing out a little at a time. We shopped for a little while last night (I'm trying to break Brax in easy to my whole shopping routine), and then went out for a little dinner. It's taking me a little less time to get ready to leave the house than it did two weeks ago. We are enjoying Brax so much and thank God for the blessing that he is to us. On another note, please keep our good friends Heather and Michael Blankinship in your prayers. Heather is pregnant with twin boys (Ben and Drew) and has been having some issues with preterm labor. If she and the boys can make it two more weeks before she delivers, that would be wonderful! I'm sure that they would appreciate all of your prayers for healthy baby boys! Thanks for checking in on us and I'll try to post more pictures soon (for some reason it won't let me do it right now- probably user error :).
